In cooperation with the Office for Cooperation with Civil Society of the Government of the Republic of Serbia, the Ministry of Public Administration and Local Self-Government is launching a public call for comment on the Final Report – self-assessment of progress on the Open Government Partnership Action Plan implementation in the Republic of Serbia for 2016 and 2017. The Open Government Partnership initiative was launched in 2011, with the aim of providing support to participating countries in creating an open, transparent and accountable administration, citizen-oriented. The Republic of Serbia joined this initiative in 2012 to ensure commitments of the Government towards citizens in terms of promoting transparency, empowering citizens, fighting against corruption, using modern technologies, in order to strengthen capacities and efficiency of the public administration. Participation in this initiative is recognized by the Republic of Serbia as an excellent way to implement the general objective of public administration reform in the Republic of Serbia, which includes the provision of high quality services to citizens and businesses, and development of public administration which will significantly contribute to economic stability and raising living standard. The Ministry of Public Administration and Local Self-Government, in cooperation with the Office for Cooperation with Civil Society of the Government of the Republic of Serbia, invites interested public to deliver in the period from 25 October to 8 November 2018 their proposals, comments and suggestions on the Final Report – self-assessment of progress on the Open Government Partnership Action Plan implementation in the Republic of Serbia for 2016 and 2017 (hereinafter referred to as: Report) and thus contributes to the quality of this document. The Report is available on the official website of the Ministry of Public Administration and Local Self-Governments (http://www.mduls.gov.rs/partnerstvo-otv-upravu-2017.php) and the Office for Cooperation with Civil Society of the Government of the Republic of Serbia (www.civilnodrustvo.gov.rs ), and it can be also downloaded from here.
