We are pleased to inform you that the Open Government Partnership Week, a global action promoting openness of administration, inclusion and improved governance through cooperation between governments and citizens, will take place from 11 to 17 March as part of the international Open Government Partnership (OGP) initiative, which aims to support governments to improve transparency, government accountability, public participation, public participation and the use of new technologies as an instrument for improving governance and services.
The Open Government Partnership Week will include multiple events designed to include local self-governments in this initiative. The final event of the Week, organised by the Ministry of Public Administration and Local Self-Government, in cooperation with the OSCE Mission to Serbia, will be the Conference on Open Government Partnership – Openness builds Trust, which will take place on Friday, 15 March 2019, at Hyatt Hotel, Milentija Popovića 5, Novi Beograd.
Since the goal this year is to include new partners in the Open Government Partnership conference, the aim of the Conference is to promote the Open Government Partnership in order to include local self-government units and to present the national-level Action Plan and a model local-level action plan and the activities of various state institutions, local self-governments, the civil society, the IT sector and the business community with the aim of promoting transparency, public participation, public accountability and the use of new technologies as an instrument for the promotion of these values.
