PUBLIC CALL TO PARTICIPATE IN THE CONSULTATIVE MEETING ON THE DRAFTING OF THE OPEN GOVERNMENT PARTNERSHIP ACTION PLAN IN THE REPUBLIC OF SERBIA FOR 2018-2020

Civic Initiatives and Media and Reform Centre Niš, on behalf of a consortium of civil society organisations, in cooperation with the Ministry of Public Administration and Local Self-Government, invite you to take part in the first in a series of consultative meetings in connection with the drafting of the Open Government Partnership Action Plan in the Republic of Serbia for 2018-2020.

The aim of the meeting is to ensure full transparency and inclusion of all interested civil society organisations, local self-government units, members of the business community and the media in the drafting and monitoring of the new Action Plan.

The first of the three meetings will be held on Friday, 5 October 2018, from 11 AM to 2 PM, at Media and Reform Centre Niš (Obrenovićeva 38).

The Open Government Partnership is a multilateral global initiative launched in 2011 to support the participating countries committed to making their governments more open, transparent, accountable and responsive to citizens. The Republic of Serbia joined the initiative in 2012 and has implemented two Action Plans since then, while the third Action Plan, which is the object of the current consultation process, is due for adoption by the end of the current year.

The consortium of civil society organisations which received support from the Open Government Partnership Trust Fund to participate as partners in the drafting of the Third Action Plan on the Open Government comprises Civic Initiatives, Transparency Serbia, the Online Media Association, Education Centre Leskovac, People’s Parliament Leskovac and Media and Reform Centre Niš.

NOTE: Participants in the consultative meeting will have their travel expenses refunded up to the cost of return bus fare, subject to presentation of a bus ticket or evidence of the cost of bus fare.
