The Municipality of Rača, the 11th municipality in a row in Serbia, received today its “One-Stop Shop” (OSS).
Marija Obradović, Lady Minister of the Ministry of Public Administration and Local Self-Government, President of Rača Municipality, Nenad Savković and member of the Municipal Council Aleksandar Senić have solemnly opened the OSS today, where citizens will complete administrative tasks in one place in their municipality.
Lady Minister Obradović pointed out that Rača Municipality had the courage and capacity to be one of the first in Serbia to embark on this demanding, but important and responsible Project, such as the establishment of OSS.
„I am glad that you have recognized the importance of the “One-Stop Shop” for your municipality and that you have started to modernize your environment, following the idea of reforms and changes that should enable the administration to become a service to citizens. From today, the residents of Rača can submit their requests at only one counter, and the employees of the municipality will obtain all the necessary documentation for them. From today, no one will send them to another counter or to another office for additional documentation, but employees of the municipality will do it on their behalf, “said Obradović. She added that the work in front of the Municipality of Rača is yet to come, because the very act of opening does not mean that everything will come to life immediately.
„You are still facing challenges and not everything will work and come to life immediately, and on its own. It is important to acquaint the citizens with this work novelty, and to show them that the municipality is their service. Expand the number of services that you will provide to your fellow citizens, connect with other bodies, but also with those environments that have introduced OSS in their work so far, learn from their experiences, in order to set an example together in the future for other municipalities and towns in Serbia to introduce OSS, and the Ministry of Public Administration and Local Self-Government will always be there for you, to provide you with every kind of support on this important task for all of us,”concluded Obradović.
As of today, the residents of Rača will be able to complete jobs related to agriculture, water management and rural development, communal issues, registrar services, legalization of facilities, social care for children and services in the field of veteran-disabled protection in one place in the municipality.
The Ministry of Public Administration and Local Self-Government has been implementing the Project of Support to Establishment of “One-Stop Shop” in Local Self-Governments for three years already, and to date 11 such places have been opened in the municipalities in Serbia. OSS was opened by Lazarevac, Šabac, Žitište, Smederevska Palanka, Bela Palanka, Sombor, Kruševac, Vlasotince, Užice, Gornji Milanovac and as of today, Rača. By the end of the year, OSS will open in Pirot, Kuršumlija and Stara Pazova, and the municipalities of Paraćin, Topola and Kosjerić have recently signed Agreements on the Establishment of OSS in their communities, and their opening is expected next year.
During her visit to Rača, Lady Minister Obradović also talked with the municipal leadership about the realization of infrastructure projects.
