Today, Lady Minister Marija Obradović attended the Opening Ceremony of the State Data Center in Kragujevac, thus achieving one of the priorities of this Government, and that is digitalization.
The State Data Center is a project of importance for the Republic of Serbia and a milestone for further development of eGovernment and the ICT Sector in the country. There, the state administration, local self-government, but also commercial users will store their equipment according to the highest standards of reliability, safety and maintenance.
The State Data Center was opened by the Prime Minister, Ana Brnabić, with the Mayor of Kragujevac, Nikola Dašić and the Director of the IT Office, Mihailo Jovanović and with the presence of Ministers in the Government of the Republic of Serbia.
Construction of the State Data Center will enable faster development of eGovernment services in the country, with the potential to become the most important center of this type in the region. It will house the First State Platform for Artificial Intelligence, which will be available to the state, but also to universities, science and technology parks and start-up companies. The Center has two facilities, on 14 thousand square meters, and is designed according to the highest technical standards and is in the efficiency range of the world’s largest data centers.
