Lady Minister Marija Obradović visited the municipality of Medveđa today, where she talked with the leadership of the municipalities of Medveđa, Lebane and Bojnik about the current situation, having in mind the declared emergency situation in these municipalities due to COVID-19 epidemic and recent floods, as well as about projects that municipalities can implement with budget funds obtained in the MPALSG competition.
Lady Minister of Public Administration and Local Self-Government attended the signing of the Agreement on Cooperation and Understanding between the municipalities of Lebane, Bojnik and Medveđa, which envisages the development and strengthening of inter-municipal cooperation, joint work on projects of interest to residents of these municipalities, as well as work to improve the services provided to citizens at the local level.
„I am glad that today, with my presence, I can support this important initiative for the citizens of Lebane, Bojnik and Medveđa, and that is connecting the Jablanica and Toplica Districts through the Agreement on Cooperation of your municipalities, which should bring a better life to these areas. Use it in its full scope, exchange experiences and ideas, jointly apply for funds from the budget that will help you implement projects of interest to your citizens, encourage employment, but also the stay of young people and the birth of children in this area. In MPALSG, you have the support for realization of this type of cooperation that you have committed to today“, said Lady Minister Obradović after the signing of the Agreement.
She pointed out that the municipality of Medveđa is one of the good examples of how to use budget funds to improve the work of local self-government units in Serbia, which is why this municipality was declared one of the best in the year 2019.
The Agreement on Cooperation and Understanding was signed today by Presidents of Municipalities of Lebane, Bojnik and Medveđa, Ivan Bogdanović, Nebojša Nenadović and Nebojša Arsić, Ph.D.
Also, Lady Minister used this opportunity to once again invite all citizens of Serbia to apply to the eGovernment Portal, and from tomorrow they can call the Contact Center, and express their interest in the vaccine against COVID-19, adding that only mass vaccination can defeat the disease and enable our return to normal life.
