The State Secretary of the Ministry of State Administration and Local Self-Government, Stevan Gligorin, visited the substandard settlement Rasadnik in Pirot today, where he visited the stands for application for immunization against the Covid-19 virus and the distribution of hygienic family packages to the most vulnerable citizens.
He appealed for discipline and called on the residents of Rasadnik to get vaccinated, but also to adhere to epidemiological measures, in order to gain immunity and preserve their health as soon as possible.
“By distributing hygiene packages, the Ministry is trying to provide additional assistance to the most vulnerable categories of the population in the fight against the corona virus. By protecting the health of the Roma, we are preserving the health of the whole of Serbia,” Gligorin said.
The visit to the Rasadnik settlement was preceded by a meeting with the representatives of the City, who introduced the Secretary of State to the work of mobile teams, who visit members of the Roma national minority in the field and help them in the process of applying for immunization against Covid-19. The Ministry is implementing the results on the ground, it was concluded at the meeting.
The city of Pirot received 900 hygienic family packages to be distributed to citizens living in substandard settlements on the territory of the city, and in Rasadnik, 250 such packages will be distributed to locals today.
