An online workshop on implementation of eGovernment was held yesterday as part of the knowledge exchange programme in the field of public administration digitalization in Western Balkan Countries, implemented jointly by the Ministry of Public Administration and Local Self-Government of the Republic of Serbia and the Partnership for Prosperity NGO of the Slovak Republic, with support from SlovakAid.
On this occasion, important experiences gained in the field of digital transformation of the public administration in these two countries were exchanged, the importance of the new design of digital business operations and electronic services was emphasized and the new architecture and integration of solutions for provision of services to citizens and businesses through mobile devices was particularly underlined. By developing mobile applications, the public administration ensures easier access to key services for citizens, which contributes to improved functioning of the entire eGovernment system and results in improvement of the existing and creation of new electronic services. The new stage of development of the eGovernment, which includes improvement of its most important segment, the so-called mGovernment, will certainly in the future result in the increase of the number of users of electronic services, because citizens are increasingly using smartphones in everyday life and work.
