The Council for Professional Development of Employees at Local Self-Government Units, chaired by State Secretary of the Ministry of Public Administration and Local Self-Government, Maja Mačužić Puzić, has held a regular session on 18 May, at which a number of issues of importance for improving the process of professional development of employees at Local Self-government Units have been discussed.
The Council initiated the formation of the Working Group for the preparation of the Draft Sectoral Programme of continuous professional development of employees at Local Self-government Units for 2023, i.e. the training programme which includes the widest range of topics which are key for improving the knowledge and skills of employees at city and municipal administrations.
At the session, the Report on the evaluation of the Sectoral Special Registrar Training Programme for 2021 has also been discussed, and it was assessed that this training programme achieves the expected effects in raising the level of knowledge and skills of participants provided under the programme. More importantly, it has been concluded that the training programme was accepted by the target group for which it is intended – the registrars and deputy registrars.
Also, the opinion has been given that the Draft Special Programme of Professional Development of Employees at the City Administration of Pančevo for 2022 is suitable for adoption, and that its implementation shall contribute to improving the knowledge and skills of employees in certain jobs or types of jobs from the original scope and competencies of this Local Self-government Unit.
