The Minister of Public Administration and Local Self-Government and President of the Coordination Body of the Government of the Republic of Serbia for the Municipalities of Preševo, Bujanovac and Medveđa, Aleksandar Martinović, PhD, has held a constructive meeting today in Bujanovac with the Acting Director of the Coordination Body’s Office, Nenad Mitrović, the Presidents of the Municipalities of Bujanovac and Medveđa, Nagip Arifi and Dragan Kulić, as well as with the Deputy President of the Municipality of Preševo, Almin Shaqiri.
A joint approach to solving the problems which Preševo, Bujanovac and Medveđa are facing, and the greater presence of Martinović and Mitrović on the ground in these municipalities, were key points of agreement from today’s meeting.
Stressing that a high degree of understanding was achieved among the interlocutors, Martinović has stated that there is a good will for cooperation, which is in the interest of both Serbs and Albanians. He added that the Coordination Body shall remain the link between these three municipalities and the Government of the Republic of Serbia, because the common task and goal is to provide the citizens who live here with living conditions of the highest quality, as well as to invest in the overall development of this part of Serbia, which is also the policy of the President of the Republic of Serbia, Aleksandar Vučić.
Martinović has announced a visit to Preševo, Bujanovac and Medveđa in the near future, with the aim of once again analysing the local situation with the presidents of these municipalities, in order to jointly find ways to solve at least part of the existing problems.
The minister had used today’s visit to Bujanovac to visit the works on the Bujanovac-Jablanica road section, where he talked with the locals, and also visited the Prohor Pčinjski monastery.
Today’s meeting is the first meeting of the Office of the Coordination Body of the Government of the Republic of Serbia for the Municipalities of Preševo, Bujanovac and Medveđa in the new composition, which was also an opportunity for Martinović, in his capacity as the Minister of Public Administration and Local Self-Government, to donate laptops to the municipal administrations of the Municipalities of Preševo, Bujanovac and Medveđa as an incentive for the development and functioning of e-administration.
