MARTINOVIĆ: VISIBLE RESULTS OF LARGE STATE INVESTMENTS IN THE MORAVICA ADMINISTRATIVE DISTRICT

The Minister of Public Administration and Local Self-Government, Aleksandar Martinović, PhD, had met in Čačak with the Mayor of Čačak, Milun Todorović, and the Head of the Moravica Administrative District, Marko Parezanović, with whom he discussed projects whose implementation is supported by MDULS.

This year, the Ministry had allocated RSD 5.9 million for the establishment of the One-Stop-Shop in Čačak, and had previously helped the reconstruction and rehabilitation of the City Assembly Hall, which the Minister visited on this occasion.

“The opening of the OSS in Čačak, which is planned for November, as well as the rehabilitation of the City Assembly Hall, which is at an enviable level both aesthetically and functionally, are just another indicator that Čačak is an great example of synergy between the State and the local self-government, but also that it is a far more modernized city when compared to 15 years ago. Actually, progress and development in every sense is visible throughout the entire territory of the Moravica Administrative District, primarily thanks to the great commitment of the President of the Republic of Serbia, Aleksandar Vučić, and, of course, of the local leadership,” Martinović has pointed out.

Stressing that many factories have been opened in the Moravica Administrative District, that highways were built, and that water and electricity networks were rehabilitated, the minister praised the leaders for their contribution to the policy implemented by the Government of the Republic of Serbia, which is the policy of balanced regional development. He added that the fact that Čačak was declared the first national capital of culture in 2023 also provides a big contribution to this, for which we owe our debt of gratitude to minister Maja Gojković, who invested enormous amount of energy in carrying out the process of cultural decentralization and moving important artistic manifestations from Belgrade to Čačak, Užice and Novi Sad, which is extremely important for the citizens of these cities.

During today’s visit, the minister had donated laptops to the city administration as a form of support for the development and functioning of e-administration in Čačak.

In the company of the Mayor, Milun Todorović, and Director of the Office for Dual Education, Gabriela Grujić, he visited the production facility of the company “Tiffany Production” today, as well as the High School of Mechanical Engineering and Traffic Management, where he attended a meeting between the school administration and the entrepreneurs from Čačak. On that occasion, Martinović was presented with the good results of cooperation between the industries of this region, primarily the textile and mechanical industries, educational institutions and local self-government.

The minister also visited the location where a modern centre is currently being built for the needs of improving modern study profiles within the framework of dual education in the field of textiles, and as announced, the construction of the latest training centre is planned in Čačak, which will train high-quality staff to work in the automotive industry, in which the State shall invest EUR 1.5 million.
