The first meeting of the Special Working Group for the preparation of the Draft Law on Civil Registry, established by the Minister of Public Administration and Local Self-Government, Aleksandar Martinović, PhD, was held today at the premises of the Ministry of Public Administration and Local Self-Government.
Representatives of the relevant ministries and other bodies in the public administration system, who make up this Special Working Group, shall define the text of the Draft Law on Civil Registry in the coming period, which will improve the legal framework in the field of civil records.
The Ministry of Public Administration and Local Self-Government has launched a process for the preparation of a new normative framework in the field of civil records, which, in addition to representing the basic official records of citizens’ personal circumstances, also have a wider significance in the context of the development of electronic administration, because these official records represent the basis for exercising a wide range of citizens’ rights.
