The Minister of Public Administration and Local Self-Government, Aleksandar Martinović, PhD, together with the President of the City Municipality of Obrenovac, Miloš Stanojević, has visited the local communities of Grabovac, Poljane and Ušće today, and on that occasion talked with the locals about the main issues and challenges they face, with the aim of solving them in the shortest time possible.
Martinović has emphasized that the City Municipality of Obrenovac had invested considerable funds in the construction and rehabilitation of the local road infrastructure, especially after the floods in 2014, which solved many of the issues that the citizens of this municipality faced, and added that the reason for his visit today was to jointly find the most efficient solutions for the remaining problems.
“As in most municipalities and cities, local road infrastructure represents one of the main problems of Obrenovac, and I would like to emphasize that CM Obrenovac is a territorially divided municipality where a large number of both classified and unclassified roads exist and are currently being constructed. Even the construction of roads that have not been arranged thus far is in progress, and I am convinced that, in the next few months, there will not be a significant road in the territory of Obrenovac that is not paved,” Martinović has said during his tour of the final works on the Milutinović road in the LC Grabovac.
He also pointed out that during his talks with the citizens, he learned that one of the constant problems is the unregulated riverbed of the Kolubara river, which passes through the village of Poljane, and added that he will inform the competent authorities about it.
During his visit to the settlement of Ušće, the minister visited the works on the construction of the church dedicated to the Holy and Great Martyr George, as well as the bridge, which is closed to public transport vehicles due to being damaged.
The President of the City Municipality of Obrenovac, Miloš Stanojević, has stressed the importance of numerous projects which are being carried out in the interest of citizens in the Obrenovac area, as well as the importance of continuing quality cooperation with MDULS and the entire Government of the Republic of Serbia.
