Today, the State Secretary in the Ministry of Public Administration and Local Self-Government, Đorđe Dabić, has presented the Mayor of Užice, Jelena Raković Radivojević, PhD, with a donation from the Ministry in the form of 20 laptops, which, according to the Mayor, will be distributed to schools and kindergartens in Užice.
Dabić, in front of the Ministry and on behalf of Minister Aleksandar Martinović, PhD, had congratulated the citizens of Užice on the City Day, pointing out that hardly any city in Serbia, let alone in Europe, can boast of a tradition of almost seven centuries. He has expressed his satisfaction over the fact that this donation was presented exactly on this city holiday, as well as over the fact that the laptops would be distributed where they are needed the most.
“It is very important to say that the Government of the Republic of Serbia has really big plans for the City of Užice in the coming year. We are raising the issue of the bypass, the works on which will begin soon since the construction permit has been issued, and this is something very important for the entire Zlatibor Administrative District. Equally important is the tunnel under Kadinjača. Also, already at the beginning of next year, works will commence at the Healthcare Centre Užice. These are serious projects through which an influx of tens of millions of euros shall come to Užice. All of this is evidence enough that the cooperation between the Government of the Republic of Serbia and the leadership of the City of Užice is at a really high level, and we are certain that, in the coming period, new projects shall also await us, much to the delight of all citizens,” Dabić has pointed out.
The Mayor of Užice, Jelena Raković Radivojević, PhD, has confirmed that the City of Užice and the Ministry of Public Administration and Local Self-Government have excellent cooperation.
“Thanks to the good communication, financial and technical support we have, the work of our City Administration gets better and more modern with each passing day. As a result, all the services we provide to our citizens are of higher quality. A One-Stop-Shop, projects related to the digitization of work and, of course, continuous training and improvement of our employees are just some of our joint projects. Even today, we are looking forward to this donation of 20 laptops, which arrived from the relevant ministry, because it will certainly further strengthen our capacities. We would like to extend our thanks to Mr. Dabić and, of course, to Minister Martinović for this, I dare say, birthday present on the day when we celebrate the City Day, but also for the overall support that our city receives”, Raković Radivojević has said.
The mayor has pointed out that laptops shall be handed over to schools and kindergartens in Užice in the coming days.
