“Thanks to the good cooperation between the Ministry of Public Administration and Local Self-Government and the Municipality of Brus, which managed to allocate RSD 7 million from a relatively small budget for a kilometre and a half of road, the hamlet of Đorđevići in the village of Vlajkovci was paved. First of all, this is of great importance for the residents here,” the Minister of Public Administration and Local Self-Government, Aleksandar Martinović, PhD, has said during a tour of the newly paved section of the road in Vlajkovci, for which RSD 10 million were allocated from this year’s budget fund of MDULS. He added that the remaining part of the road will be paved already in the spring, i.e. as soon as the weather conditions permits.
Martinović has praised the agile leadership of Brus, and emphasized that in the past three years, a lot has been done in this territorially-branched municipality, with a large number of populated places. Among other things, more than 42 kilometres of local roads have been rehabilitated. However, as he said, Brus belongs to the category of Local Self-Government Units which cannot solve the challenges they face on their own, i.e. without the active help of the State.
“The Government of the Republic of Serbia and, of course, the President of the Republic of Serbia, Aleksandar Vučić, who gives us all strength and support, and who initiated many important projects, even in this part of Serbia, together with this municipality, will do everything to ensure that Brus continues to develop. This municipality is located at the foot of Kopaonik mountain range, and has a huge tourist potential. The State shall invest additional efforts to enable and preserve good living conditions for children here, as well as for children in the entire territory of Serbia, so that they can stay in their native regions. It is up to us to do everything in our power to ensure a better future for them,” Martinović has emphasized.
During today’s visit to Brus, the minister has donated 20 laptops to the municipal administration as a form of support for the development and functioning of electronic administration, and also visited the agricultural household Petrović in the village of Igroš, which is engaged in growing and processing of fruit.
