On behalf of the Minister of Public Administration and Local Self-Government, Aleksandar Martinović, PhD, the State Secretary at this Ministry, Đorđe Dabić, has made an address at the today’s solemn session of the Municipal Council of Aleksandrovac, organized on the occasion of marking the Municipality Day – the St. Tryphon’s Day.
He extended his greeting to the citizens of Aleksandrovac on occasion of marking this holiday, and wished the newly elected President of the Municipality of Aleksandrovac, Jelena Paunović, much success in performing this extremely important and responsible function, expressing his belief that her involvement will improve the development of this local self-government.
Looking back at the year 2023, State Secretary Dabić has pointed out that it was very challenging and uncertain on the international level, but also that the state leadership learned to fight even more strongly in order to pursue progress and prosperity of the country and all its citizens in these new, unforeseen situations and circumstances. He has stated that the responsible policy of the President of the Republic of Serbia, Aleksandar Vučić, as well as of the entire Government of the Republic of Serbia, had produced exceptional results which are reflected, first of all, in the fact that Serbia managed to preserve its peace and economic stability. He added that the State plans to implement numerous projects within the “Leap into the Future” programme, with uniform, integral development of each municipality and each city at its core.
Recalling that MDULS had recently announced competitions for the allocation of funds within three Public Calls, the total value of which amounts to more than half a billion dinars, Dabić had invited the local self-governments to apply for these funds.
As he has said, these concern financial support for the implementation of infrastructure projects, the development of eGovernment, the organization of events, the reduction of the risk of natural and other disasters, as well as for the establishment of One-Stop Shops, but also for awarding annual awards to the best municipal and city administrations.
