MINISTER MARTINOVIĆ AWARDED LAPTOP COMPUTERS TO THE WINNERS OF THE 27TH LITERARY MEETING FOR CHILDREN AND YOUNG PEOPLE

The Minister of Public Administration and Local Self-Government, Aleksandar Martinović, attended the ceremonial academy on the occasion of the 27th literary meeting for children and young people “Gordana Brajović” in Aleksinac today, an event named after the famous journalist and writer, which also gathered a large number of students this year, from elementary to high school students, from all over Serbia, and from our diaspora as well. The Minister presented laptop computers to students whose works were awarded at this year’s literary competition, and this gesture of surprise was greeted by great applause from those present.

On that occasion, the Minister emphasized that we live in the modern age of the fourth industrial revolution and general digitization, and he expressed his belief that modern devices will help children achieve even better results. Martinović reminded that the Government’s plan is that by the end of next year the entire territory of the country will be equally covered by high-speed wireless Internet, and explained that there will be no difference in the quality and strength of the Internet signal between rural and urban areas, between Belgrade, Niš, Subotica, Ražanj or any other points in Serbia.

Pointing out that the main task of the government is to provide the best possible conditions for the education of the young generation and to create an environment in which young people, after graduating from college, stay and work in their home municipalities and towns, the Minister emphasized the importance of the integral development of all parts of the country and the importance of having valuable and gifted children.

He encouraged the students not to give up on their wishes, to believe in themselves and to fight and work hard, and he reminded them that the Ministry of Public Administration and Local Self-Government organizes the Student Professional Practice Fair in Public Administration every year. He expressed his belief that a large number of students will during their studies take advantage of the opportunity to acquire, in addition to theoretical, the practical knowledge in administrative bodies that will help them in their daily work, but also that a number of them will be employed in institutions, and thus will contribute to social development through work.

Minister visited the unique administrative center in Aleksinac, the opening of which was supported by the Ministry with RSD 6.6 million, and in the presence of Čedomir Rakić, state secretary in the MDULS, and Petar Babović, head of the Nišava Administrative District, he also held a meeting with the president of this municipality Dalibor Radičević and his associates. After the meeting, Martinović stated that Aleksinac had grown into a successful local self-government with a developed economy. The Minister donated 20 laptops as a sign of the Ministry’s support for the further development of electronic administration in this municipality, and he took the opportunity to visit one of the most modern and technologically advanced factories for freezing and drying fruit, the industrial complex of the company “Monikom”.
