She was born on 2 May, 1981 in Niš, in the Republic of Serbia, where she graduated from the elementary and high school. She graduated from the Faculty of Law, University of Niš in 2007, after which she completed her Master’s studies and obtained the postgraduate academic degree and the title of Master of Laws. She passed the Bar Exam in 2010.
She gained her first work experience as a legal trainee in the period from 2009 to 2011. She obtained the title of a lawyer in 2011 (since 2012 she has been in a dormant/inactive status).
She got engaged in political work in 2011, as a member of the Serbian Progressive Party.
In the period from 2012 to 2016, she worked as the deputy secretary of the Niš City Assembly, whereupon she was elected as a Member of Parliament. In 2016, she held the position of the Chairman of the Niš City Election Commission, and was elected as a Member of Parliament in the National Assembly of the Republic of Serbia four times, in 2016, 2020, 2022 and 2024. In three parliamentary mandates, she was the chairman of the Committee on Constitutional and Legislative Issues. During her tenure as a Member of Parliament, in the period from 2020 to 2024, she was the chairman of the Committee on Constitutional and Legislative Issues of the National Assembly. She was a counsellor in the Assembly of the City Municipality Crveni Krst – Niš.
She took up the post of the Minister of Public Administration and Local Self-Government on 2 May, 2024.
