Regarding the allegations of the President of the People’s Movement of Serbia, Miroslav Aleksić, presented on TV channel N1, which concern the migration of citizens due to the upcoming local elections in the City of Belgrade, the Minister of Public Administration and Local Self-Government, Aleksandar Martinović, PhD, has said that the information presented are unverified and absolutely false, and he strongly denies them:
“Such statements are just another in a series of disinformation placed by Aleksić, and are the only thing he can offer to citizens, instead of concrete political programmes, ideas and proposals.
While, in these challenging times and extremely difficult circumstances that have affected Europe and the whole world, the President of the Republic of Serbia, Aleksandar Vučić, the Prime Minister, Ana Brnabić, and the entire Government of the Republic of Serbia are persistently and unreservedly fighting every day for preserving the peace and stability, the progress of our country, for each new kilometre of roads, better healthcare, new factories, kindergartens and schools, Miroslav Aleksić and his ilk, power-hungry members of the opposition, are aware that they do not have the support of the people, so they invent conspiracies and by doing so try to score cheap political points.
As the Minister of Public Administration and Local Self-Government, I hereby responsibly claim that the number of voters in Belgrade fluctuates with a uniform dynamic, and that there are no observed deviations in the period stated, i.e. from 1 September 2023 until today, compared to the previous period of the year.
It should be clear to the citizens of Serbia that Miroslav Aleksić, a well-known tycoon from Trstenik, has only one goal with such malicious and false comments – to deceive the Serbian people and cover up his incompetence, which his actions clearly indicate. However, he will not succeed in his endeavour, because the wise and responsible policy of President Vučić and the Government of the Republic of Serbia, which has the interests of the citizens and the State in the first place, stand firmly against his deceptions of the public and empty political programmes.
The citizens know this, which is why they have been trusting us for more than a decade, and I will, finally, implore the citizens to pay no heed of Miroslav Aleksić’s blatant deceptions, and point out that I am sure they are aware that the current State leadership does not use falsehoods, theft and other means utilized by the opposition, but that it only works and will continue to work in the best interest of the citizens,” minister Martinović has said in his statement.
