The Minister of Public Administration and Local Self-Government, Aleksandar Martinović, PhD, and the President of the Municipality of Gornji Milanovac, Dejan Kovačević, have laid today the foundation stone for the extension of the building of PI “Sunce” in this municipality. The area of the new building is close to 2,000 square meters, while the deadline for completing the works is one year.
“This is a very important investment for Gornji Milanovac. The capacity of the new facility is 250 children, which means that Gornji Milanovac will no longer have a waiting list for enrolling children in kindergarten. The facility shall be constructed according to the most modern standards, and the children will have the best possible conditions for stay, playing and learning. This follows the policy led by the President of the Republic of Serbia, Aleksandar Vučić, and the entire Government of the Republic of Serbia, which includes investing in children, because it is the safest and best possible investment. The more children we have, the more secure our future will be for both our country and our people,” Martinović has said.
He added that the said kindergarten will have modern rooms for children accommodation, a state-of-the-art kitchen, a laundry room, heating, and that, in addition to the facility itself, the construction of children’s playgrounds with modern play equipment and complete ground floor decoration is planned. As the Minister has said, the Municipality of Gornji Milanovac proved to be a reliable partner to the Government of the Republic of Serbia, and the State will continue to invest in this region.
“The very fact that I, as the Minister of Public Administration and Local Self-Government, am visiting Gornji Milanovac for the third time already in the last few months means that the Government of the Republic of Serbia recognizes the importance of this municipality, as well as of the entire Moravica Administrative District. We will continue to successfully cooperate, help and invest in all local self-governments on the territory of the Moravica Administrative District,” Martinović has said.
The President of the Municipality, Dejan Kovačević, has expressed his gratitude to the Government of the Republic of Serbia and the President of the Republic of Serbia, Aleksandar Vučić, for recognizing Gornji Milanovac as a municipality with great development potential and for investing huge funds in the construction of an access road, general hospital, but also in the implementation of numerous other projects in this local self-government. Thanks to that, Kovačević pointed out, the municipality can use its own funds to implement a capital project such as the extension of PI “Sunce”, and it is also planned to rehabilitate the existing facilities.
