French technical support to public administration reform

Today, the Minister of Public Administration and Local Self-Government, Branko Ružić signed a Letter of Mission with the Ambassador of the Republic of France to Serbia, H.E. Frédéric Mondoloni, whereby securing technical support to the Ministry in the area of public administration reform, in particular, concerning human resources management and professional development of employees. Ružić thanked France for its support to the reform processes and expressed confidence that technical support would surely contribute to even better results. “Public administration reform is one of the three preconditions Serbia needs to fulfill on its path to European integration,” the Minister said, adding that every kind of support in this demanding and complex process is welcome, especially when it comes from the founding countries of the European Union. “People are the key to the reform, which is why we devote great attention to improving human resources management and professional development of public administration employees,” he said. The Ambassador stressed that France supports Serbia on its European path, which it also shows through this type of cooperation. In addition, it was agreed to continue cooperation regarding the conclusion of the Memorandum of Cooperation between the two ministries and competent institutions for professional development with the aim of further exchange of experience and good practice, as well as creating conditions for Serbian civil servants to acquire new knowledge via internships in French institutions.
