GREAT SUPPORT PROVIDED BY MDULS FOR SOLVING THE PROBLEM IN ĆIĆEVAC

The Minister of Public Administration and Local Self-Government, Aleksandar Martinović, PhD, has visited today the newly opened One-Stop-Shop in the Municipality of Ćićevac, in which the Ministry invested more than RSD 6.7 million, as well as two plots of land in the settlements of Pojate and Stalać, upon which two children’s playgrounds shall be constructed with the aid of the Ministry in the amount of RSD 7.5 million.

During his visit to Ćićevac, Martinović has noted that the municipality inherited huge problems from the previous leadership, and that it is now the task of the State to help the president of the municipality, and that he, as a minister and member of the Government, shall inform his colleagues about the priorities.

“Our goal is to settle the huge debts that were inherited, as well as to realize at least one investment on the territory of the municipality. At least one hundred people should be employed here, because both the work zone and the potential are present, but one simply cannot overlook the fact that no one took care of the citizens in the past,” Martinović has said.

Speaking about the One-Stop-Shop project, Martinović has emphasized that the Ministry allocated RSD 88 million this year for the opening of 13 new OSSs, and that there are already numerous OSSs in Serbia. There are currently 37 OSSs in Serbia, while 18 more are planned to be opened by the end of the year. He has pointed out the fact that the faster exercise of citizens’ rights in those places which have OSSs, has proven to be a great success.

Stressing the fact that the Ministry of Public Administration and Local Self-Government had also previously helped the municipality through various projects, minister Martinović emphasized that this policy of providing assistance shall continue into the future.

As a reminder, the Agreement on allocation of funds from the Budget Fund of the Ministry of Public Administration and Local Self-Government was signed with municipalities and cities in February of this year. The Ministry had allocated RSD 490 million for various, mainly infrastructural projects for local self-governments throughout Serbia.

On this occasion, minister Martinović held a meeting with the president of the Municipality of Ćićevac, Mirjana Krkić, PhD, and the Head of the Rasina Administrative District, Ivan Anđelić.

As part of his visit to the Municipality of Ćićevac, minister Martinović had also visited the factory for the production of metal haberdashery “Antić Kosta”, and took the opportunity to view the multimedia exhibition “Pavić from A to Z“.
