The Minister of Public Administration and Local Self-Government, Aleksandar Martinović, PhD, has awarded certificates of successfully completed professional practice today to the students who partook in professional practice at the Ministry of Public Administration and Local Self-Government. Also present were the employees of MDULS and the representatives of five universities, who acted as supervisors and mentors to the students.
Emphasizing that the Administration needs educated young professionals, who will bring with them new ideas, energy, enthusiasm and creativity and who, in synergy with the knowledge and experience of their older colleagues, can contribute to the success of many development processes carried out by MDULS, Martinović had expressed his belief that the students will soon have a new opportunity for cooperation with the Ministry, for the benefit of all citizens and the State.
“Given that I have an extensive academic background, I am aware and understand the needs of the students, as well as of our faculties, to develop, improve and direct their study programmes towards the acquisition of know-how and, with this in mind, provide students with their first experience in respect of the profession for which they are studying. Professional practice is an excellent way for students to get to know the administration in a completely different light, and see the opportunities on offer by working within it,” Martinović has emphasized.
The minister had pointed out that he was informed by the supervisors that the students were ready to learn, but also to contribute to the execution of the tasks of the organizational units at which they were assigned on professional practice, and he wished them to successfully complete their studies and reminded them that MDULS remains their friend and support.
Student Professional Practice in Public Administration is organized within the Cooperation Programme in connection with the provision of support to higher education institutions in the educational process for 2022/2023, which was signed with state universities in Belgrade, Kragujevac, Niš, Novi Sad and Novi Pazar. Nine students have attended student professional practice at the Ministry of Public Administration and Local Self-Government in the period from 15 March to 11 April 2023.
