MARTINOVIĆ OPENED THE 38TH ONE-STOP-SHOP IN LEBANE

The Minister of Public Administration and Local Self-Government, Aleksandar Martinović, PhD, has visited the Municipality of Lebane today, and on that occasion opened the One-Stop-Shop, the establishment of which was aided by MDULS with almost RSD 6 million.

Martinović has pointed out that the State, through the Ministry of Public Administration and Local Self-Government, supports the opening of OSSs, with the aim of establishing them throughout Serbia. He has recalled that 37 OSSs are currently operational, and that there are plans to increase this number to 55 by the end of the year.

“The One-Stop-Shop in Lebane looks impressive and, most importantly, it is very functional. The existence of such a place is extremely important, because it greatly accelerates and facilitates the exercising of citizens’ rights. The process of establishing OSSs across the country is part of the reform process implemented by the Government of the Republic of Serbia, which includes the digitization of our public administration,” Martinović has stressed.

Recalling that the goal of the Government of the Republic of Serbia and the President of the Republic of Serbia, Aleksandar Vučić, is to keep the youth in their hometowns and to provide them with better living conditions, the minister has pointed out that the south of the country is important for our country, that intensive work is still being done in respect of the development of Lebane, but also of all the other underdeveloped municipalities, so that neither the south, nor any other part of Serbia, would remain deserted.

“The Government of the Republic of Serbia is working diligently to bring at least one large investor to Lebane, who would then engage in the processing industry. By doing so, we would be able to brand and market the peppers and tomatoes, for which this region is well-known, both on the domestic market, as well as on the European and world markets. The plan is also for the works on the construction of the Green Market in Lebane, for which MDULS had allocated funds from its budget, to be completed by the Summer of 2024,” Martinović has said.

The minister had also recalled the Plan of the Government of the Republic of Serbia for the entire territory of Serbia to be covered by broadband internet by the end of 2025, which shall ensure that the residents of Lebane, Trgovište and Crna Trava have all the services and achievements of modern information technologies at their disposal. He had also pointed out that the Municipality of Lebane already possesses the technical documentation for several projects, and that the Government of the Republic of Serbia is trying to support their implementation through the budget fund, as well as through donor support programmes.

During his visit to the Municipality of Lebane, Martinović held a meeting with the President of the Municipality of Lebane, Ivan Bogdanović, and his associates, and he also visited the archaeological site “Caričin grad”.
