The Minister of Public Administration and Local Self-Government, Aleksandar Martinović, PhD, and the President of the Municipality of Rekovac, Aleksandar Đorđević, PhD, have officially opened the One-Stop-Shop today in this municipality, for the establishment of which the Ministry allocated RSD 6.6 million last year.
Emphasizing that the OSS in Rekovac is very functional and well-organized, Martinović has said that practice has shown that this modern mechanism saves citizens a great deal of time and money, because, in this way, they can complete all their business with the local administration in one place.
He added that the purpose of his visit today is to send a message to the local leadership, as well as to the citizens of Rekovac, that the President of the Republic of Serbia, Aleksandar Vučić, and the Government of the Republic of Serbia will be available to jointly solve many inherited problems that this municipality is currently facing.
“Rekovac is a relatively small, but quite scattered municipality. It has 32 villages in which hardworking people who are mainly engaged in agriculture live, and it is necessary to bring at least one business company to Rekovac which would employ around 150 people. The state policy is to attract investors to such municipalities as well, which are in the fourth category of development and are far from larger centres such as Belgrade, Novi Sad, Niš and Kragujevac, which would be of great importance for Rekovac”, the minister has said and announced that he will discuss this with President Vučić and Prime Minister Brnabić.
Martinović has praised the leadership of the Municipality for the efforts they invest in promoting the development of Rekovac, and stressed that the results are visible and that the citizens feel the progress achieved in recent years. According to him, Rekovac can count on the Ministry of Public Administration and Local Self-Government to remain its reliable partner in the future, stressing that state aid will not be lacking.
During today’s visit to this municipality, the minister had also visited the assembly hall, the furnishing of which was supported by the Ministry with more than RSD 3 million.
