The Minister of Public Administration and Local Self-Government, Aleksandar Martinović, PhD, and the President of the Provisional Authority of the Municipality of Zubin Potok, Srđan Vulović, have signed today, in the presence of the Deputy Director of the Office for Kosovo and Metohija of the Government of the Republic of Serbia, Borislav Tajić, an agreement on the allocation of funds for the project for rehabilitating a part of the road in the Municipality of Zubin Potok , on the road section from the large dam of the Gazivode Lake to the village of Kovači, in the amount of RSD 7,996,000.00.
Martinović has pointed out that it is important that this agreement was signed today, at a time when the Serbian people in Kosovo and Metohija are surrounded from all sides by special units of the so-called “Kosovo police”, and when they are fighting for their own survival and bare survival of their children, but also of the State of Serbia. As he has said, the allocation of funds for the rehabilitation of this road is a modest contribution of the Ministry of Public Administration and Local Self-Government in difficult times for our people in the Serbian southern province, and it will be of great significance for the residents of Zubin Potok.
“The signing of this agreement also has wider political significance, because this is another indicator that the State of Serbia is with its people in Kosovo and Metohija. In this way, we want to send a clear message to the domestic public and the Serbian people living in the northern part of Kosovo and Metohija, as well as to the international community, that our southern province is an integral part of the State of Serbia and that the President of the Republic of Serbia, Aleksandar Vučić, and the Government of the Republic of Serbia shall continue to stand by our people in Kosovo and Metohija,” Martinović has said.
Emphasizing that the Government of the Republic of Serbia has been helping the Serbian municipalities, the people and the Serbian church in Kosovo and Metohija in much higher amounts for years, Martinović has said that the Ministry of Public Administration and Local Self-Government shall continue to support local self-governments in the Serbian southern province in implementing projects of importance for its citizens, and thanked the Office for Kosovo and Metohija of the Government of the Republic of Serbia for fighting and solving the problems of our people in Kosovo and Metohija on a daily basis.
