“Cooperation between the state and local level is one of the priorities of the work of the Ministry of Public Administration and Local Self-Government in this mandate, in order to jointly strengthen local capacities and contribute to equal development of each local self-government unit”, the State Secretary, Čedomir Rakić, has said at the solemn session of the Municipal Assembly of Doljevac.
At the ceremony marking the Day of the Municipality, on behalf of the Ministry, he received the Award of Recognition, which was awarded by the Municipal Assembly of Doljevac to MDULS as a public recognition for 2021 for the exceptional results and achievements in the development of the municipality.
The State Secretary has expressed his belief that the project of securing the banks and riverbed of Lisičji potok upstream from the confluence with the Pusta Reka River in Pukovac, in regards to which MDULS and the municipality have made a joint investment, shall be of great importance for locals, and has also said that the Ministry shall continue to provide assistance to cities and municipalities in implementing the projects aimed at improving the living conditions of citizens at the local level and improving services and facilities for the citizens of Serbia.
He encouraged the municipality to apply for support during the establishment of the One-Stop Shop because, according to him, this project would enable the residents of Doljevac to complete all administrative tasks in their local self-government unit in a faster and easier manner.
Rakić has expressed his gratitude to all those who were at the vanguard in the fight against COVID-19 pandemic and invited the citizens to respect the measures and advice of physicians and get vaccinated, stressing that this is the only way to preserve the nation’s health and ensure economic progress at the same time.
