The Minister of Public Administration and Local Self-Government, Marija Obradović, extended her best wishes to all women in Serbia on the occasion of 8th March – the International Women’s Day.
“Dear ladies, I would like to wish you a happy International Women’s Day.
This is a holiday dedicated to each of us, a day to celebrate women who have laid the foundations for gender equality and whose path we must follow to ensure the economic, political and social equality of women.
Serbia has made significant progress in this area, and is today a leader in the region in regards to gender equality. However, we must continue to fight for greater rights and equal opportunities, not only today but every single day onwards!
We need brave and courageous women who are ready to support the whole society, and who want to set an example for the generations to come!”
