The Minister of Public Administration and Local Self-Government, Branko Ružić, opened a single administrative point in Sombor today, under a project that the Ministry supported with seven million dinars.
Ružić, who opened the Single Administrative Point with the Mayor of Sombor Dušanka Golubović, stated that citizens would complete their errands faster and more efficiently in this manner, as services would be available to them in one place and they would not have to visit several different institutions.
Citizens would be able to complete their errands at the Single Administrative Point, including pay taxes, exercise their right to child allowance, request the issuance of birth certificates and so-forth, whereby a new 90 square meters of space would be equipped for MoI services and economic entities, thanks to cooperation established with the Serbian Chamber of Commerce.
Minister Ružić reminded that this was the second single administrative point that had been opened with the support of the Ministry and that the first one was opened in Lazarevac in September last year.
“The goal is to introduce this system in every municipality and city in our country, so that citizens, wherever they interact with the administration, always get the same level of quality, kindness and professionalism”, indicated Minister Ružić.
The Ministry of Public Administration and Local Self-Government initiated this project in 2018, when eight local self-governments were supported with RSD 52 million as a pilot project in the opening of Single Administrative Points.
“Due to the great importance of such a project in providing faster and more efficient services to our citizens, support to cities and municipalities in opening SAPs was continued over the course of 2019, with six more cities and municipalities receiving support amounting to a total of RSD 45 million”, highlighted Minister Ružić.
