New sports fields for basketball, volleyball and football, in the construction of which the Ministry of Public Administration and Local Self-Government had invested RSD 15 million, have been opened today in Guča. In addition to the sports fields, thanks to cooperation between MDULS and the Municipality of Lučani, an outdoor gym was also constructed, outdoor sports field lighting was installed, and new stands with a capacity of more than 700 seats were built. The sports fields were officially opened by the Minister, Aleksandar Martinović, PhD, and the President of the Municipality of Lučani, Milivoj Dolović.
“This project is very important for children and youth from Lučani, and I am certain that these sports fields, which are equipped with the most modern equipment, shall also be used by sports teams from all over the country for preparations and tournaments. This is another proof that the President of the Republic of Serbia, Aleksandar Vučić, and the Government of the Republic of Serbia are taking care of Dragačevo, and are dedicated to ensuring that citizens who live in small municipalities, such as Lučani, have the same living conditions as those who live in big cities,” Martinović has stressed.
He added that the state leadership implements a policy of balanced regional development with the goal of encouraging the youth to remain in their birthplaces to live and work. According to him, during the previous decade, a huge success was achieved in the development of Serbia, salaries and pensions have been raised, the healthcare and education systems were improved, important infrastructure facilities such as hospitals and schools were built, and the army and police were equipped; however, all that, according to the Minister, will not make much sense if most of the population is concentrated in Belgrade and other larger cities.
Pointing out that the Ministry had implemented several important projects in Lučani, Martinović has said that this municipality proved to be a reliable partner, and that the local leadership respects all the deadlines and works in the best interest of its citizens.
“The Ministry of Public Administration and Local Self-Government has very successful cooperation with the Municipality of Lučani. The rehabilitation of the kindergarten “Bambi” in Guča, the construction of a gym in Lučani, the adaptation of the municipal building and the construction of a children’s playground near the Secondary School “Dragačevo” are just some of the projects that we have implemented together. We shall continue to invest in the development of this municipality and all other municipalities in the Moravica Administrative District,” the Minister has said.
After the official opening of the sports fields, Martinović had visited the industrial complex “Livnica” in Guča, accompanied by the President of the Municipality, Milivoj Dolović, and the Head of the Moravica Administrative District, Marko Parezanović.
