OBRADOVIĆ: SERBIA SUCCESSFULLY PRESIDED OVER RESPA, AND SUCCESSFULLY RESPONDED TO ALL CHALLENGES OF THE PANDEMIC

“The Republic of Serbia has successfully presided over the Regional School of Public Administration (ReSPA) in the past year, during which all the planned activities have been carried out, and it had also successfully responded to the challenges of COVID-19 pandemic,” Marija Obradović, Minister of Public Administration and Local Self-Government, has said today at the 13th meeting of the ReSPA Steering Committee at the ministerial level.

At the meeting, which was held online, she has pointed out that she believes that everything that has been done in the previous period had contributed to strengthening cooperation in the region, with the aim of improving the implementation of Public Administration Reform in all ReSPA Member States, bearing in mind that this is a key area on their European path.

At the 13th meeting of the ReSPA Steering Committee, inter alia, the Annual Report of this organization and the budget for 2021-2022 have been unanimously adopted.

Minister Obradović has handed over the presidency of ReSPA to the Cabinet of the Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Albania, which shall preside over this organization for the next year.

The members of the Regional School of Public Administration (ReSPA) are the Republic of Albania, Bosnia and Herzegovina, the Republic of North Macedonia, Montenegro and the Republic of Serbia, as well as representatives of the European Commission, who have observer status, while one of its main goals is to boost regional cooperation and focus on Public Administration Reform processes in the Western Balkans.
