Minister of Public Administration and Local Self-Government Branko Ružić talked today to representatives of the International Monetary Fund (IMF) Mission led by Mr. James Ruff. The main topic of the meeting was continuation of the salary system reform, where Mr. Ruff saw great progress and said that activities undertaken by this Ministry and other sectors involved were carried out reasonably and in interest of everyone. Expressing their hope that the salary system reform would finally regulate the salary system so that all employees in public administration, about 420,000 of them, could receive salary on the basis of complexity of their work, responsibility, risk and other criteria, participants agreed that the new system would also ensure a more equitable salary increase when there is scope for this in the budget of the Republic of Serbia.
