A new human resource management system, spanning issues from recruitment, retention policy and staff education to rewarding of professionals, is key to ensure we have prepared people who will provide services to citizens, said Minister of Public Administration and Local Self-Government Branko Ružić at a meeting with the International Monetary Fund Mission, led by its new Mission Chief Jan Kees Martijn.
The Minister said the development of such a system would involve continued work on the salary system reform, which is expected to begin on 1 January 2020.
“There will be new dialogue with trade unions and ministries, to make sure we have a consensus on implementation of the new legislation, with the envisaged financial effects ensured by the Ministry of Finance”, said Mr. Ružić.
It is equally important to continue with rational and carefully weighed new employment and for this reason we must obtain reassurance that control mechanisms have been effective.
New IMF Mission Chief Jan Kees Martijn said he was looking forward to working in Serbia, for which Minister Ružić congratulated him.
