Minister of Public Administration and Local Self-Government Branko Ruzic spoke with the USAID’s Mission Director for Serbia Azaa El-Abd about support programs for improving the work of public administration.
Ruzic and El-Abd agreed that so far cooperation between the Ministry and USAID was remarkable, especially during the inspection oversight reform, which will surely continue to be subject of cooperation.
They talked about the need to strengthen public-private dialogue in order to enable a more favourable business environment, as well as for further cooperation on strengthening the transparency and accountability principles at the local level.
The Minister emphasized the great importance of continuous monitoring of citizens’ satisfaction with public services, and given that the practice of the US administration in this area is very developed, the interlocutors expressed their hope that Serbia will see similar initiatives.
