Regular working meetings with mayors and presidents of municipalities in the Republic of Serbia at the Ministry of Public Administration and Local Self-Government chaired by Minister Marija Obradović begin today.
Regular meetings with local government leaders represent a new work method for the Ministry of Public Administration and Local Self-Government, aiming at strengthening the partnership and support to cities and municipalities in Serbia.
This way the Ministry will get acquainted with the problems and challenges that local governments face in more detail in order to help them solve those, but also with ideas for improving the services they provide to their citizens.
Also, this type of work and communication is especially important bearing in mind that we have completely new people running 60 cities and municipalities in Serbia, people who have not performed this type of function in their careers, and that among them there is a large number of women they lead communities in which the life of citizens is very difficult.
Regular meetings of mayors and presidents of municipalities in Serbia with Minister Obradović will be held from 2 to 7 p.m. each Thursday.
