The Minister of Public Administration and Local Self-Government, Aleksandar Martinović, PhD, has visited Rekovac today, where he solemnly opened the children’s playground in the village of Oparić, as part of the satellite classroom of the Primary School “Dušan Popović”, for the construction of which MDULS allocated funds from this year’s budget fund. In addition, with the funds of the Ministry, a children’s playground was also built in the LC Belušić.
Pointing out that the works were carried out according to the highest standards, and that the safety of the children was primarily taken into account, the minister has emphasized that he also discussed with the President of the Municipality of Rekovac, Aleksandar Đorđević, PhD, the necessity of rehabilitating the school building, which dates back to the times before the Second World War.
“As the President of the Republic of serbia, Aleksandar Vučić, often points out, there is no better and safer investment than investing in children. We have a duty to ensure a bright future for our children, to enable the synergy of the State and Local Self-Government Units to provide decent living conditions on the territory of the entire country, so that young people can stay in their birthplaces and create families there, and this is exactly the policy implemented by the Government,” minister Martinović has said.
Martinović also spoke at the solemn session of the MA Rekovac, on the occasion of the Municipality Day, where he was presented with an award in the form of a Plaque for the great support provided through programmes which significantly improve and enrich the living conditions of the citizens of Rekovac. At the same time, the session was an opportunity for the minister to donate 20 laptops to the municipal administration as a form of support for the development and functioning of electronic administration.
Pointing out that the Plaque is a valuable recognition for the Ministry he heads, as well as a confirmation that the activities of MDULS are aimed at the welfare of the citizens, the minister added that a lot has been done in Serbia in the past few years, and that all the efforts and great results achieved, in respect of the economic development and road and other infrastructure, construction of hospitals and schools, strengthening of the army and other successes, will not make much sense if there is no one to inherit this.
“Guided by the wise and responsible policy of the President of the Republic of Serbia, Aleksandar Vučić, we not only managed to save our country, but rather we make it stronger with each passing day, developing more and more economically. Today, Serbia is the only island of freedom in Europe. We are the only ones who can say that we are pursuing our own path, that we lead our own independent policy, i.e. a policy that is exclusively in the interest of our citizens, and I am sure that in the future we will continue to protect and build Serbia with joint forces and at an even faster pace,” minister Martinović has concluded.
