The Minister of Public Administration and Local Self-Government, Aleksandar Martinović, PhD, and the President of the Municipality of Velika Plana, Igor Matković, have signed today an agreement on the allocation of funds for the project of reconstruction of the plateau in front of the “Masuka” Cultural Centre in this local self-government, in the amount of RSD 2 million.
Stressing the great importance of the implementation of the aforementioned project for the citizens of Velika Plana, Martinović has explained that the allocated funds represent symbolic aid, in accordance with the current possibilities, intended for commencing with the first phase of reconstruction. He has announced further financial support by the Ministry to Velika Plana for the implementation of this and other local projects.
Martinović has added that the City Plateau is the location where all the events of this settlement take place, as well as the meeting place for its population, which is why MDULS found a way to enable the citizens of Velika Plana to get a modern central square, and expressed his belief that these funds will be spent purposefully.
As a reminder, in this year, the Ministry of Public Administration and Local Self-Government had allocated RSD 5 million for the establishment of the One-Stop-Shop in Velika Plana, while during the previous four years it had allocated more than RSD 27 million for other significant projects.
