26 MILLION DINARS FROM THE BUDGET OF MDULS FOR THE RECONSTRUCTION OF KINDERGARTEN “BAMBI” IN GUČA

“The Ministry of Public Administration and Local Self-Government recognizes the importance of providing our youngest citizens with normal and healthier conditions for education and growing up. We have allocated a total of RSD 26 million for the reconstruction and extension of the kindergarten “Bambi”, and it is precisely projects like this that are our favorite kind, because there can be no state-building policy without care and investment in new generations in the first place,” the Minister of Public Administration and Local Self-Government, Aleksandar Martinović, PhD, had pointed out after the solemn opening of the kindergarten “Bambi” in Guča, together with the President of the Municipality of Lučani, Milivoj Dolović.

The aforementioned kindergarten, which is part of the PI “Naša radost” from Lučani, is currently attended by 250 children, and by the end of the year there will be room for another fifty children.

MDULS had aided the reconstruction of all rooms at the kindergarten “Bambi”, which was originally built in 1972. As part of the project, the electrical installations, carpentry, wall and floor coverings were replaced, and a gas-fired boiler rooms was built.

Martinović had stressed that the Republic of Serbia, its President Aleksandar Vučić and the Government of the Republic of Serbia will always support projects related to the reconstruction of institutions used by our youngest citizens, especially when it comes to the reconstruction of schools and kindergartens in villages, in order to enable citizens to stay in their native areas and help with the development of rural areas.

During his visit to the Municipality of Lučani, the minister had also visited the sports fields on the banks of the Bjelica River, where the construction of children’s playgrounds is planned, and for which the Ministry had allocated funds from this year’s Budget Fund. Also, as a form of support for the development and functioning of e-administration in Lučani, Martinović had donated laptops to the municipal administration.

The minister had recalled that MDULS had aided the adaptation of the municipal administration building, as well as works on the construction of a sports hall and children’s playground near the high school in Lučani and many other important projects, and expressed his belief that good cooperation between the Municipality of Lučani and the Ministry headed by him shall continue in the future. He added that all local self-governments can count on MDULS as reliable and stable partner.
