“The Government of the Republic of Serbia has placed children and their future high on the list of the priorities of its work,” said Minister Marija Obradović in a video message at the online meeting on the occasion of the project “Support to local governments for spreading good policies and practices of parenting support.”
The project, implemented by the SCTM with the support of UNICEF, aims to improve services and programs to support parenthood and early child development by strengthening the capacity of local governments for cross-sectoral cooperation in ensuring continuity, quality and accessibility of parenting support services, especially when it comes to vulnerable families.
Six local governments (Belgrade municipality of Palilula, Novi Sad, Kragujevac, Bor, Vranje, Novi Pazar) signed cooperation agreements today, an event which officially marked the beginning of the project.
