CONSTRUCTION OF THE NEW PARK IN GORNJI MILANOVAC COMMENCES

The Minister of Public Administration and Local Self-Government, Aleksandar Martinović, PhD, has visited Gornji Milanovac today, where he toured the beginning of the construction works on a new park with a modernized children’s playground, an outdoor gym and a complex of sports fields with artificial turf in the settlement of Ivice. For the implementation of this project, MDULS had allocated RSD 15 million from the Budget Fund, and according to the announcements, the modern park should be opened as early as September of this year.

Speaking about the fact that, as regards Gornji Milanovac, it is noticeable that this Municipality invests at every step in the construction of good frameworks for the lives of citizens, especially in respect of the youth, minister Martinović has explained that the very construction of this complex fits into the intention of the Republic of Serbia for youth to continue to live and work, as well as found families, in their birthplaces. He added that the Municipality of Gornji Milanovac has a developed economy and that companies with a long tradition of business operate here.

Minister Martinović has explained that the municipality fosters good cooperation with companies that work on its territory, because this creates a good business environment and an incentive to employ more people in such companies. He added that the local self-government introduced a number of subsidies for agricultural producers, and that this is another sign of good care for people. As he has said, the relevant Ministry shall continue to be a reliable partner and will continue to improve the living conditions of the population not only in this municipality, but in all other parts of the Moravica Administrative District as well.

Minister Martinović has also visited the One-Stop-Shop in Gornji Milanovac, which was among the first to be opened in Serbia with the financial assistance of MDULS in October 2020. On that occasion, he said that OSS represents a significant achievement in respect of the relationship between the administration and the citizens, because its beneficiaries do not have to go from one counter to another, and from one civil servant to another, but can receive the services provided by the local self-government in one place, including information on the location of their case and at what stage of resolution it currently is. At the aforementioned OSS, the municipality had achieved a level of efficiency of issuing building permits within three days, Martinović had concluded.

In Gornji Milanovac, minister Martinović held a working meeting with the President of the Municipality, Dejan Kovačević, and on that occasion awarded 20 laptops to the municipal administration for further development of e-administration. The minister had also visited the “Gorda” distillery.
