The Minister of Public Administration and Local Self-Government, Aleksandar Martinović, PhD, has visited today in Ada, together with the President of the Municipality, Zoltan Bilicki, and the head of the North Banat Administrative District, Miroslav Dučić, the beginning of the rehabilitation works on the roof of the “Zvezdano oko” kindergarten building. MDULS had allocated RSD 12 million from this year’s Budget Fund for this project, and the remediation and replacement of the roofing tiles and dilapidated gutters are a prerequisite for other works on the building and its furnishing. Martinović has also announced the possibility that, in the next year, MDULS would invest funds in expanding the facility’s capacities, so that all children could be enrolled in the kindergarten.
“By implementing this project, we will create better conditions for working with children, and allow the little ones to spend quality time in this educational institution. Investing in children is the most important investment, and the task of both the State and local self-governments is to provide them with the conditions for proper growth and development, as well as opportunities to fulfil their full potential,” Martinović has said.
He has pointed out that in this year, MDULS had also allocated RSD 7 million for the establishment of the One-Stop-Shop in Ada, which is planned to be opened at the end of the year, and expressed his belief that the Ministry he heads will successfully cooperate with this municipality in the future, for the benefit of all its citizens. He added that Ada is a relatively small municipality, but that it is a good example of how members of different national and religious communities can live and work together in peace and harmony in one environment.
“This is the policy of the President of the Republic of Serbia, Aleksandar Vučić, and the Government of the Republic of Serbia – the common life and work of all those who accept Serbia as their country. We have extremely good cooperation with members of the Hungarian national community living in Vojvodina, and Hungarians in Serbia are fully integrated in the political and economic sense. We will continue to cultivate friendly relations between our two countries,” the minister has pointed out.
He also visited the “Mol” Cultural Center, whose adaptation and energy rehabilitation was supported by the Ministry with RSD 9 million, as well as the Office for Poverty Reduction in Ada, and he discussed with the mayor of the municipality and the head of the North Banat Administrative District about bringing in at least one large investor in Ada, but also about solving the issue of lack of inspectors in this area.
Today’s visit was also an opportunity for minister Martinović to donate laptops to the municipal administration of the Municipality of Ada, in order to encourage the development and functioning of e-administration.
