“This year, the Ministry of Public Administration and Local Self-Government has allocated RSD 30 million from the budget for the reconstruction of the Primary School “Slobodan Bajić Paja” in Brestač. The Republic of Serbia, its President Aleksandar Vučić, and the Government of the Republic of Serbia will always support projects related to the reconstruction of institutions used by our youngest citizens, especially the reconstruction of schools and kindergartens in the villages, in order to enable citizens to have decent living conditions even in smaller settlements”, the Minister of Public Administration and Local Self-Government, Aleksandar Martinović, PhD, has pointed out during his visit to the Municipality of Pećinci and his tour of the Primary School “Slobodan Bajić Paja” in the village of Brestač.
Emphasizing that the most important thing for Serbia is to have as many children as possible, as well as good and equipped educational institutions, the minister has added that the policy of the President and the Government of the Republic of Serbia is to ensure that the youngest grow up in a safe environment, alive and healthy, and that they have decent conditions for study and work.
“First of all, I want these children to become good and hardworking people, and, of course, good students, so that the tragedy which transpired at the Primary School “Vladislav Ribnikar” can never happen to us again. The Republic of Serbia, headed by its President Aleksandar Vučić, has the strength to deal with this horror, and is strong enough to introduce all the necessary measures so that similar atrocities do not happen again. We have to preserve the stability in our country, while at the same time continuing to invest in better schooling conditions and to ensure the safety of our children,” Martinović has said.
Martinović has recalled that Pećinci is one of the most developed municipalities, and that in this area, as he was told, there are around 70 greenfield investments, the estimated value of which is around EUR 700 million, and that more than 3,000 people come to work in the Šimanovci Work Zone every day.
During his visit to Pećinci, the minister held a meeting with the President of the Municipality of Pećinci, Siniša Đokić, and his associates.
