MARTINOVIĆ VISITED THE SITE WHERE THE CONSTRUCTION OF THE NEW ADMINISTRATIVE BUILDING IN VLADIMIRCI IS PLANNED

The Minister of Public Administration and Local Self-Government, Aleksandar Martinović, PhD, has visited today the modular facility at which the construction of the new Administrative Building in Vladimirci is planned.

The modular facility used as the official premises of the municipal administration is more than 40 years old, and its complete removal is planned. The officials who worked here have been evicted several months ago and placed in offices in various buildings throughout Vladimirci.

“The condition of this prefabricated facility is really poor. As I was told, due to the current situation and the lack of space, the administrative services currently operate at several locations, so their operation and work, as well as citizens’ orientation in respect of finding the necessary services, is impeded. The municipal administration is a pillar of every municipality’s operations, and it should be provided with full functionality,” Martinović has pointed out, adding that it is also important that citizens have a pleasant environment in which to exercise their rights.

In order to solve the problem of the lack of capacities in respect of official premises, the Municipality of Vladimirci had applied this year for funds from the Budget Fund of the Ministry of Public Administration and Local Self-Government for the construction of the Administrative Building, with the goal being for the municipal administration to function “at one location and under the same roof”.

“The Ministry will soon make a decision on the allocation of funds, and I hope that we will be able to help, given that the municipal budget is insufficient for financing this construction. We plan to sign the contracts on the allocation of funds with the representatives of the municipalities in ten days, so that the implementation of the projects can commence as soon as possible”, Martinović has announced. He added that he is glad that the municipality is thinking about further modernization of services and the opening of the One-Stop-Shop next year, which he said is a project which directly reflects the vision of the Ministry of creating an administration tailored to the citizens.

During his visit to Vladimirci, Minister Martinović held a meeting with the President of the Municipality of Vladimirci, Goran Zarić, the President of the Municipal Assembly, Rade Kovačević, the Head of the Municipal Administration, Slavica Mirković, and the Head of the Mačva Administrative District, Željko Marjanović. Martinović had pointed out that the purpose of his visit is primarily to assess the situation on the ground, and to be informed about the actual issues that the citizens face, and that he shall inform the other relevant ministries about the current situation in order to solve the presented challenges.

On this occasion, Martinović also visited the building of the former Regional Prefecture, as well as the building of the MA Vladimirci.
