„The joint strengthening of global cooperation shall contribute to digital transformation and future prosperity“ was the message of the participants in this year’s Global Forum, which was dedicated to the development strategies of digital transformation in the post-COVID-19 era.

The achievements of Serbia in the field of ICT have been presented by the State Secretary of MDULS, Maja Mačužić-Puzić; this was also an opportunity for the Ministry and NIA to sign a Memorandum of Cooperation in the field of ICT. In addition to strengthening friendly relations between Serbia and Korea, the Memorandum also envisages the improvement of previous cooperation, modernization of administration in the field of ICT, as well as improving the services offered by the existing SKIP Centre (Serbian-Korean Information Access Center) in Belgrade, and the opening of a new SKIP Center in Niš. Serbia is, inter alia, one of the few countries in the world that will have two SKIP Centers, while the SKIP Center in Belgrade has been declared to be one of the best of over 60 such Centers in the world, bearing in mind that its services have been used by over 40,000 citizens since its opening four years ago, who received free IT trainings at it in order to improve their technological literacy and be able to use the eServices that the Government of the Republic of Serbia is developing.

On the sidelines of the Global Forum, Mačužić-Puzić has talked with her colleagues from the line ministries of the Republic of Korea, Ghana, Moldova, Malawi, Egypt and Bhutan, and has exchanged views with the representatives of NIA on future cooperation envisaged by the Memorandum, but also on the development of e-government and the importance of open data for the citizens of Serbia.
