The Ministry of Public Administration and Local Self-Government was the first in Serbia to implement the European Quality Management Tool – Common Assessment Framework (CAF) in 2021, with the aim of increasing the efficiency, effectiveness and economy of work processes, continuous monitoring, evaluation and improving the quality of services, management and work dynamics within the Ministry.
In order to spread awareness and provide more information, the Ministry held a CAF Info Day on 22 December 2021, which was attended by more than 70 administrative bodies.
Representatives of MDULS and representatives of the EU4PAR Project, which provides technical support to the Ministry for further implementation of CAF in public administration of the Republic of Serbia, presented, through an online presentation, the CAF methodology, experiences of introduction and application of CAF, as well as the possibility of using and supporting the introduction of CAF in the institutions of the Republic of Serbia.
The Ministry has launched a page dedicated to CAF, via which it is possible to obtain the necessary information on the methodology, experiences and applying for the implementation of this tool, as well as the materials and answers to frequently asked questions.
The Common Assessment Framework (CAF) is a free, publicly available Total Quality Management tool, and aims to provide assistance to public sector institutions to improve their work. There are currently more than 4,000 registered CAF users in Europe and outside of Europe.
