MDULS: SINGLE ELECTORAL ROLL WIDELY OPEN, PUBLIC AND ACCESSIBLE

The Ministry of Public Administration and Local Self-Government hereby informs the public that on 27 December 2023, at 11 a.m., it received multiple requests from Nikola Ristić, “Conscientious Citizens” and Ivan Bjelić, containing an identical question: “When will you open the voter lists?”.

On this occasion, the Ministry of Public Administration and Local Self-Government would like to point out, for the umpteenth time, that the Single Electoral Roll is a public record that is available and accessible to all citizens of the Republic of Serbia on the official website of the Ministry of Public Administration and Local Self-Government, at the following link: https://upit.birackispisak.gov.rs/.

At the aforementioned web page, every citizen can check whether he/she is entered in the Single Electoral Roll and at which polling station he/she can vote. Also, on the official website of the Ministry, citizens can also check in respect of any other citizens where they vote, i.e. the names and surnames of all the voters for each polling station. In addition to the aforementioned, the Ministry of Public Administration and Local Self-Government publishes data on the number of voters by municipalities/cities every three months.

Accordingly, to the raised question: “When will you open the voter lists?”, MDULS provides a clear and unequivocal answer that the Single Electoral Roll is widely open, public and accessible, and that the maximum transparency of the Single Electoral Roll is thus ensured.

The Ministry of Public Administration and Local Self-Government points out that this is another attempt by Dragan Đilas and his followers to create confusion and uncertainty among citizens regarding the Single Electoral Roll, and to present the Single Electoral Roll to citizens as some kind of “secret document” that is absolutely inaccessible to anyone except for government representatives.

MDULS would also liek to note on this occasion that the elections held on 17 December were absolutely democratic, regular and legitimate, and provides full support to the President of the Republic of Serbia, Aleksandar Vučić, in his efforts to preserve political stability and peace in the Republic of Serbia, to ensure its sovereignty and independence and its comprehensive social development.
