MDULS TO SUPPORT THE EXPANSION AND ADAPTATION OF THE KINDERGARTEN IN BOGATIĆ, AS WELL AS THE PROJECT TO ESTABLISH OSS

The Minister of Public Administration and Local Self-Government, Aleksandar Martinović, PhD, has visited the Primary School “Vuk Karadžić” in Badovinci today, where the rehabilitation of the façade is planned, as well as the expansion and adaptation of the kindergarten area that is a part of it. In order for these two important projects, worth approximately RSD 130 million, to be implemented, and due to insufficient funds, the Municipality of Bogatić plans to apply for funds with the relevant ministries.

In addition to the rehabilitation of the façade, the installation of thermal insulation and the replacement of carpentry are also planned in this educational institution.

Martinović has announced the possibility that next year, MDULS shall allocate part of the funds for the expansion and adaptation of the kindergarten, which would ensure accommodation for all interested children. He added that education is an investment which results in the highest interest and wealth, as often stated by the President of the Republic of Serbia, Aleksandar Vučić, himself, and expressed his belief that the reconstruction project in respect of the Primary School “Vuk Karadžić”, which was founded back in 1843, would be implemented with the joint cooperation between the relevant ministries and local self-government.

He has recalled that MDULS had previously supported the construction of the kindergarten PI “Slava Ković” in Belotić, the landscaping of the pedestrian path, green areas, sidewalks and the access to the municipal building, as well as the introduction of a system for electronic management of sessions in the MA Bogatić.

During the today’s visit, the minister held a meeting with the President of the Municipality of Bogatić, Milan Damnjanović, and his associates, and donated laptops to the municipal administration to encourage the development and functioning of e-administration.

As he has said, the local leadership informed him about the issues the municipality is facing, as well as about the projects it is currently implementing. He added that during the next year, Bogatić shall also apply for funds from the MDULS budget with the project of establishing a One-Stop-Shop, which would replace and improve the already existing municipal Service Center.

“The establishment of OSSs is one of our favourite projects at the Ministry, which has also proven to be very successful because it primarily saves citizens time and money to a great extent,” Martinović had concluded.
