MDULS WILL SUPPORT THE ENERGY RENOVATION OF THE MUNICIPAL ADMINISTRATION BUILDING IN MALI ZVORNIK

The Minister of Public Administration and Local Self-Government, Aleksandar Martinović, PhD, has visited Mali Zvornik today, where he announced the possibility that MDULS would finance the energy renovation of the municipal administration building in next year.

“Given the strategic importance and its position, the Municipality of Mali Zvornik deserves to receive support from the State level for implementation of this project, the value of which is approximately RSD 50 million. We shall see if the Ministry will be able to allocate the entire amount from the Budget Fund or if the energy renovation will have to be performed in stages. The Government is trying to establish a trend of introducing energy efficiency standards evenly throughout Serbia. A large number of public buildings have already been converted into energy-efficient ones,” Minister Martinović has said after the meeting with the President of the Provisional Authority of the Municipality of Mali Zvornik, Zoran Jevtić.

Minister Martinović added that MDULS shall continue to strengthen the partnership with this local self-government. He has recalled that significant investments have been made previously in this part of the country, and explained that the Municipality of Mali Zvornik proved to be a respectable partner, which means that future cooperation with it would not be put into question.

He has indicated that the priority of the Government’s policy is equal development, and that it is in the interest of people to remain living and work in their birthplaces, and not to move and build careers exclusively in big cities.

During his stay in Mali Zvornik, Minister Martinović has also visited the production facilities of the Turkish factory “Bauwin decor”, and on this occasion recalled that he had recently held a meeting with the Turkish Ambassador in Serbia, and that he conveyed to him the view that Turkish companies are very interested in further investing in our economy, which would strengthen economic cooperation. As the Minister has pointed out, it is, on the other hand, equally important that the domestic economy develops, especially in respect of small and medium-sized enterprises.
