MINISTER MARTINOVIĆ ATTENDED THE SIGNING OF THE AGREEMENT FOR THE EMPLOYMENT OF 80 PEOPLE IN LEBANE

More than 80 citizens from the area of the Municipality of Lebane have received employment thanks to the fact that the State, in cooperation with the local self-government, provided funds in the amount of over RSD 12.5 million for the implementation of professional practice measures, public works and subsidies for self-employment. On this occasion, the Minister of Public Administration and Local Self-Government, Aleksandar Martinović, PhD, has attended the solemn signing of the Agreement on the Implementation of Measures from the Local Action Plan for Employment in Lebane today. The Agreement stipulates that 64 people will be assigned to jobs in eight public enterprises, while four people will receive subsidies for self-employment, and 13 people will attend professional practice.

Minister Martinović has praised the municipal leadership for cooperating with the State for years and participating in the financing of active employment policy measures. As he has said, today’s event is another proof that the Government of the Republic of Serbia continuously strives to provide its citizens, who live in all parts of the country, with monthly wages, financial income, jobs and a better standard of living, and that it is committed to continuing the positive trend of employment growth.

Stating that he is visiting the Municipality of Lebane for the third time this year, minister Martinović has announced that he expects a public procurement to be carried out soon so that the residents of Lebane would get a modern green market, which will be built according to the highest standards and criteria, and that this project, which is financed through the Ministry, is important for farmers from this region.

Minister Martinović took advantage of his visit to Lebane to tour the works at the Visitor Centre “Teodora”, and he also stopped by the premises of the recently opened One-Stop-Shop, where he spoke with the employees working at the counters. He also donated 20 laptops to the municipal administration for the purpose of implementing electronic administrative procedures, emphasizing that the State of Serbia will continue to invest intensively in the development of the southern border zone. On the occasion of the address by the President of the Republic of Serbia, Aleksandar Vučić, at the Session of the UN General Assembly, he reiterated the position that Serbia will not allow anyone to dismember it by trampling over the basic principles of international law.
