MINISTER MARTINOVIĆ EXTENDS BEST WISHES ON OCCASION OF 8TH MARCH – THE INTERNATIONAL WOMEN’S DAY

The Minister of Public Administration and Local Self-Government, Aleksandar Martinović, PhD, had extended his best wishes to all women in the Republic of Serbia on the occasion of 8th March – the International Women’s Day.

“Today’s holiday is important, because today we celebrate women and their tireless struggle for equality and a better position in society, but they deserve our admiration and respect every other day of the year as well. Women are the embodiment of courage and strength – they are bearers of change and pillars of society. It is our duty to work on their empowerment, because strong women mean a strong country.

In the Ministry of Public Administration and Local Self-Government, the majority of employees are women, and I am grateful for their diligent work and efforts they put in every day in order to improve our public administration together and be at the service of our citizens.

The Government of the Republic of Serbia shall continue to fight for the equality of women in all spheres of public and private life, as well as to, by following the vision of the President of the Republic of Serbia, Aleksandar Vučić, participate in the building of a modern, democratic state in which all citizens have equal rights.

Dear ladies, I hereby wish you a happy International Women’s Day!”
